| PROFIBUS & PROFINET USER CONFERENCE 2010 |
June 29 & 30 2010 - Immerse yourself in PROFIBUS & PROFINET at Stratford Manor, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, a modern hotel and conference centre close to Birmingham International Airport, within easy reach of the M40 and the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon!
Celebrating an amazing 21 years since PROFIBUS was first introduced, PROFIBUS UK is delighted to announce the 7th annual PROFIBUS & PROFINET User Conference.
Comprehensive Educational Programme
Featuring a comprehensive, multi-stream educational programme that will lead Users through PROFIBUS and PROFINET from the basic technology through to its use in real world industrial and process applications, this two-day Conference features application-oriented technical sessions and hands-on workshops presented by technology experts and experienced users and systems builders drawn from a wide variety of application areas.
Covering the latest developments in PROFIBUS, PROFINET, PROFIenergy and PROFIsafe technology for factory and process automation, the programme places great emphasis on serving the needs of the User community, i.e. companies that own, operate, design, build or maintain manufacturing facilities and process plant. The aim is to assist companies making the transition from conventional to fieldbus systems as easy (and jargon free) as possible.

|
These sessions will include audience participation and so there will be opportunities to explore for yourself how PROFIBUS and PROFINET equipment and techniques are used in practice. The carefully organised schedule means that you can attend hands-on sessions without having to miss an important presentation. The event is supported by a free of charge exhibition with interactive displays and technology demonstrations from the UK's PROFIBUS Competence Centre and leading product vendors, trainers, consultants and systems integrators.
A series of technical presentations offers shared user experience from actual industrial applications, including how to approach implementation of the technology on existing plant, plus other outlines of technical developments and new capabilities. Included in the presentations will be a session specifically devoted to the uses and limitations of wireless communication in automation systems, and other papers will discuss how PROFIBUS systems can be integrated into energy management programmes, particularly in relation to energy efficient drives. Most of the lecturers will be available during the conference for separate discussions on topics that are of particular interest.
Who Should Attend and why?
The programme of parallel conference presentations, hand-on practical sessions and exhibition mean that this event is a "must" for anyone involved in, or thinking about, fieldbus, intelligent instrumentation and actuation or networked control systems applications. Supported by live demonstrations of actual tools used in calibration and maintenance, the programme will be of great value to Instrument Technicians/Engineers, C&I Engineers and System Engineers involved in design, operation and maintenance of modern process and manufacturing plant.
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to all delegates to add to their professional training records.
"B for Beginners"
There will be a "Beginners' Track" featuring a number of presentations and workshops specially developed for beginners. These will be clearly indicated with a "B" on the programme.
Multi-Vendor Challenge
In a special Workshop session, a number of suppliers will be invited to install their products into a network that will be assembled live in front of the audience, showing how each component is connected up and configured.
Free Prize Draw
All Delegates will be entered into our free Prize Draw with the opportunity to win prizes including places on the Certified PROFIBUS Installer and Commissioning and Maintenance Courses donated by the PROFIBUS Competence Centre at MMU.
